Alan Conolly

Senior Partner, Alan Conolly, is a graduate in law from Sydney University and was admitted to practice in March 1966. He has acted for corporations and insurance companies for over 40 years and is one of the most experienced practitioners in his field. He taught insurance law for 11 years, mostly to insurance professionals undertaking Associateship and Fellowship qualifications.

Alan specialises in running large and complex Court cases and, whilst he has defended numerous high profile cases, he believes that very often disputes can be resolved quickly and early without litigation.
Alan believes that the key to a successful outcome lies in the quality of the preparation of a case. He also believes in thinking outside the box and he is renowned for his multi-dimensional approaches.

Alan is a strong advocate and negotiator and is often retained for his fearless approach to problems.

In addition to acting for insurers and corporations in court, Alan has drafted numerous policy wordings for insurance companies and advises on policy interpretation.

Alan is currently the Chairman of the Editorial Committee of the Australian Insurance Law Association, New South Wales.
